Clear Aligners For Teeth: A Modern Approach To A Perfect Smile

Orthodontic clear aligners are an easy yet effective way to straighten your teeth without the need for traditional braces. The treatment begins by creating a 3D model of your teeth. Based on this, a set of clear aligners is designed to perfectly fit your teeth. The treatments only conclude when your teeth have reached their ideal position.

At Oris Dental, we have a patient-first philosophy that ensures a smooth experience. Get support at every stage of your treatment with a holistic approach through Oris Dental.

Who Is An Ideal Candidate For Clear Aligners?

The ideal candidate can only be determined through a detailed assessment. This assessment can involve evaluation of your teeth, gums, and bite. Concerns such as alignment issues, such as crowding, spacing, or minor bite concerns, are often addressed. Here are certain patients who can be considered as ideal candidates:

Mild to moderate misalignment

Concerns such as crowding, spacing, and minor rotations are often considered ideal candidates for clear aligner treatment.

Bite concerns

Common bite concerns such as overbite, underbite, and crossbite can be corrected through orthodontic clear aligners.

Good oral health

Patients should have healthy gums and teeth and no active trouble related to tooth decay or cavities.

Commitment to compliance

Patients need to wear clear aligners at least 20-22 hours every day. Even your trays need to be changed every 1-2 weeks for visible results.

Clear Aligners Process

Most clear aligner treatments take 6–18 months, depending on individual cases. The process is comfortable, nearly invisible, and designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Clear Aligners Vs Traditional Braces

Clear Aligners Vs Traditional Braces

Getting the right orthodontic treatment doesn’t just affect the appearance but also your daily lifestyle. Understanding the difference between the two can help you make a decision based on your dental needs. Here are some key differences between clear aligners and traditional braces:

  • Appearance: Clear aligners are a nearly invisible orthodontic treatment that doesn’t draw much attention. Traditional braces, on the other hand, are more easily noticeable.
  • Comfort: Most patients usually report only a mild level of discomfort, especially while switching to a new tray. Traditional braces, on the other hand, are known to cause irritation after adjustments.
  • Removability: Clear aligners make it easy for the person to drink, brush or even floss. This helps to maintain better hygiene. With traditional braces, tasks such as brushing and flossing can prove challenging.
  • Duration: A treatment duration of 6-18 months is often required. A consistent wear of 20-22 hours also needs to be followed. With traditional braces, this treatment range could be 18-36 months.
